Camping Fun
This week one of our wise owls came in and told us all about their fun at the weekend, camping with their Mummy, Grandma and Grandad. They told us how they slept in a tent and had sausages on the BBQ for their breakfast. We loved listening to this so much that we decide to create a camping tuff tray for the children to play with. We went outside to the gardener that was laying the new grass and asked if he had any spare bits for our tray. he was very happy for us to take the cut off pieces, we then went and found some twigs from our garden area and went back inside. The children helped to lay the grass in the tray, we used the twigs, coloured card and glitter to make a camp fire, and we used some logs that we had in our sensory basket for the people to sit on and a box to make a log cabin.
The children loved playing in our tuff tray and re-enacting some of their own holiday experiences through the small world people.
