Whole Nursery Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year)

Today we will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah by creating our own candles holders and pictures of the shofar.

Rosh Hashanah will start on Thursday, the 21st of September and will continue for 2 days until Friday, the 22nd of September.

Rosh Hashanah is celebrated on the 1st and 2nd days of the Hebrew month “Tishrei”.

Whole Nursery Harvest Festival

During the 22nd and the 28th September we are celebrating the harvest festival a day where farmers are grateful for the crops they have been growing.

To celebrate this your child can come to nursery any day dressed as a farmer.

The Harvest Festival tradition pre-dates Christianity and dates back to the pagan times and the name derives from the Old English word Haerfest meaning ‘Autumn’.

We are asking if parents could bring in a food package that we can use to create some food hampers for us to donate to the homeless shelters in and around Bury.

Whole Nursery McMillan Coffee Morning

Come and join us for a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake and help us raise money for McMillan at our coffee morning.  The children will be baking lots of cakes and other yummy treats to sell when you come to collect them.
